Safety and Wellness
The well-being of our team and anyone involved with our company is a primary focus at Alta-Fab. A "safe workplace" is one of the pillars on which our company was built because it impacts our entire team, our clients, our suppliers and subcontract partners, and the general public with whom we interact.
Alta-Fab's Safety and Wellness team is comprised of over 25 qualified first-aid experts, who are disbursed throughout all facilities and yards. A Construction Safety Officer (CSO) sanctioned through the Alberta Construction Safety Association and our designated Health and Safety Coordinator are full-time Advanced First-Aid experts. We are a certified associate member of the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA)-Certificate of Recognition (COR) since 2003. We are involved in Partners in Injury Reduction (PIR), an Alberta WCB/Workplace Health & Safety-Alberta Occupational Health & Safety initiative. Recently recognized by Iris Evans, Minister of Employment, Immigration & Industry and Guy Kerr, President and CEO of WCB Alberta as a 2006 PIR Program refund recipient. We continually strive to supersede our governing legislation set out in the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Act, Regulations and Code, working in partnership with our suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to uphold these same standards.
