Our History - Growth of a Modular Building Manufacturer
Our Start Founded in 1973 in Edmonton, Alberta, Alta-Fab Structures Ltd. started out as a small, private business that manufactured modular buildings for the Alberta energy industry. Over the last 35 years, Alta-Fab has earned a reputation for producing high-quality and innovative modular buildings. Growth Through Quality This reputation allowed Alta-Fab to grow substantially. Today, we have over 300,000 square feet of production space and employ over 450 great people and expert staff. Recent Milestones February 2005 - Achievement of the Safety Certificate of Recognition (COR) in 2003 from Alberta Occupational Health and Safety and the manufacturing of our 5,000th unit. February 21, 2008 - Alta-Fab Structures installs the first unit of an 812-bed camp. This is the largest project Alta-Fab has ever undertaken to-date.
March 15, 2008 – Alta-Fab celebrates its support of ihuman Youth Society (www.ihuman.org/) for the third consecutive year, by sponsoring the “Journey Into the Light” Gala at the Alberta Art Gallery. ihuman Youth Society is a non-profit, charitable organization that works with high-risk youth to promote their re-integration into the community through crisis intervention, arts mentorship, and life-skills development programs.
