Aboriginal Relations

Alta-Fab is committed to working with everyone who has a stake in our projects, including Aboriginals who call northern Alberta their home. At Alta-Fab, we work with local Aboriginal and First Nation communities by engaging in fair, equitable, and mutually beneficial business relationships.

Our approach here is no different than anywhere in our business: build long-term, sustainable relationships that increase capacity, while constantly looking for innovative new solutions.

Partnerships in Action: The Chipewyan Prairie Dené First Nation

Alta-Fab is extremely proud to be part of a joint venture partnership with Chipewyan Prairie Dené First Nation. One of our feature initiatives with the Nation is providing the design, construction management, and manufacturing for the contemporary, Moose Haven Lodge open-camp.

Our role as the exclusive remote modular workforce housing and wellsite unit provider on traditional lands also benefits Chipewyan Prairie Dené First Nation through our support of:

  • Workforce development programs
  • Economic sustainability and legacy for the community
  • Increased on-nation manufacturing capabilities
  • Community development
